How far in advance should I book my session?

To ensure the best availability, I recommend booking your session at least 4–6 weeks in advance. If you're hoping for a specific date, especially during the busy spring and fall seasons, booking even earlier is always encouraged.

 

What time of day is best for a photo session?

Outdoor Sessions
Golden hour is my favorite time to photograph! I typically recommend scheduling your session about one hour before sunset for the most beautiful, soft light. Depending on the time of year, this usually falls between 4:00 PM and 6:30 PM.

If sunset doesn't work with your schedule, don't worry! We can absolutely discuss an earlier time that works best for your family.

Studio Sessions
Studio sessions are typically scheduled between 8:00 AM and 3:00 PM, as I use beautiful natural light in the studio whenever possible.

 

What happens if we're running late?

I completely understand that life happens!

If you're running behind, please send me a quick text as soon as possible. I'll do my best to accommodate you, but please keep in mind that arriving late may reduce the amount of shooting time available, especially if another session is scheduled afterward or we're working with the sunset. This could also affect the amount of photos you'll receive. 

 

What happens if the weather is bad?

Arizona usually gives us beautiful weather, but occasionally Mother Nature has other plans!

If your outdoor session is affected by rain, strong winds, or unsafe weather conditions, we'll simply reschedule for the next available date that works for both of us at no additional charge.

 

What should we wear?

The goal is to coordinate, not match.

Earthy tones, soft neutrals, muted colors, and textured fabrics photograph beautifully, especially against Arizona's natural landscapes.

Pinterest is a wonderful source of inspiration if you're unsure where to start! Once your session is officially booked, I'll also send you a style guide with outfit tips and ideas to help make planning easy.

 

Will you help pose us?

Absolutely!

Don't worry if you've never had professional photos taken before. I'll guide you through the entire session.

We'll begin with the classic "must-have" portraits, such as the whole family together, siblings, individual children, and mom and dad together. After that, we'll move into a more relaxed and playful part of the session where the magic really happens.

We'll laugh, play, cuddle, tickle little ones, and simply enjoy being together. Some of my favorite images are the natural, candid moments that happen in between the poses.

If there's a specific pose or idea you'd love to recreate, I'd be happy to include it!

 

How do we choose a location?

Once your session is officially booked, you'll receive a link to my favorite photography locations throughout the area.

If none of those locations feel like the right fit, we'll work together to find the perfect place for your session. And if you already have a special location in mind, I'd love to photograph you there!

Is there a travel fee?

Sessions within Casa Grande and the Phoenix Metropolitan area are included.

For locations outside of those areas, a travel fee may apply. Simply let me know where you'd like your session to take place, and I'll be happy to provide a travel quote.

 

How many people are included in a regular family session?

Regular family sessions are designed for immediate family members only, including parents and their children.

Outdoor sessions are also pet-friendly, so your furry family members are always welcome!

For larger family groups, please refer to my Extended Family Session packages.

 

What is considered immediate family?

Can grandparents be included in our session?

Grandparents are always welcome!

If you're planning to include grandparents only, they can usually be added to a regular family session.

If you're planning a larger gathering with multiple households, siblings, cousins, or extended family members, please refer to my Extended Family Session packages.

Can we bring our dog?

Absolutely!

Well-behaved dogs are always welcome during outdoor sessions and often make the sweetest addition to your family photos.

I do recommend bringing another adult or friend who can take your pup for a little walk once we've finished photographing everyone together.

 

My child doesn't like having their picture taken. Is that okay?

Absolutely!

Please don't stress if your child is shy, energetic, or simply not interested in smiling for the camera. I've photographed children of all ages and personalities, and I completely understand that every child is different.

I never expect perfection. My sessions are relaxed and child-led, giving little ones time to warm up, explore, play, and simply be themselves. Some of the sweetest photographs come from those genuine, unscripted moments.

My biggest piece of advice? Come ready to have fun and let me do the rest!

 

What if someone in my family gets sick?

Life happens, especially with little ones!

If you or someone in your immediate family is feeling ill, please let me know as soon as possible. We'll work together to find a new date so everyone can enjoy the session while feeling their best.

When will I receive my photos?

Your fully edited images will be delivered through a beautiful online gallery within 3 weeks of your session.

From there, you'll be able to view, download, share, and purchase professional prints if you'd like.

 

What if I need my photos sooner?

Rush editing is available!

• Full Gallery (within 48 hours): $150

• Individual Images: $20 per edited image

Perfect if you need photos for announcements, invitations, or a special event.

 

Will I receive every image from my session?

Each package includes a specific number of professionally edited digital images.

Please refer to your selected package for the number of images included.

Every image delivered has been carefully selected and individually edited to meet my quality standards.

 

Do your packages include prints?

My packages include digital images only.

However, you'll have the option to order professional-quality prints directly through your online gallery. You're also welcome to print your images at your favorite photo lab using the print release included with your gallery.

 

Do you offer photo products?

Yes!

In addition to your digital images, I also offer a selection of keepsake photo products that allow you to enjoy your memories beyond the screen.

Current offerings include:

• Custom USB containing your selected images

• 11¼ × 8¾ Hardcover Photo Book (30 images)

• Custom Polaroid-style prints featuring your professional photographs

• Custom photo magnets featuring your favorite images

• Professional-quality prints available directly through your online gallery

 

These products make wonderful keepsakes for your home and thoughtful gifts for family and friends.

 

Do you provide RAW images?

No.

RAW files are unfinished images and are not included with any package. Every image you receive is carefully selected and professionally edited in my signature style.
